Hi everyone! We just released a new patch with plenty of bug fixes and some new features!
Note about the water shader
We finally were able to identify the bug that is causing the water to flicker under certain angles. It turns out it is an issue deep inside the VR rendering pipeline of Unreal Engine. Epic is working on a fix for us so as soon as they release it we'll issue a hot fix. In the meantime you can cycle between transparent / opaque water with “pagedown”.
Some of the changes include:
- NEW: Our first of many physics props is enabled => you can now throw, drag, push, move & hurl some small rocks around in the world.
- NEW: HRTF fly, you can't see it, but boy you sure can hear it!
- NEW: The pier : ideal for hopping on and off the paddle board!
- NEW:Self-driving kayak tours is now also available for Vive users (sit down on the floor in front of a fan for maximum immersion!).
- NEW: Oculus users can now also teleport to various destinations in the world.
- various environment tweaks.
- you should now find a "chill area" at most hotspots that line up with a typical desk chair height -> move your real life chair into position so it lines up with a virtual rock, chair, pier. Take a seat and let the chilling commence...
- lots of new sounds!
- We tweaked the paddling physics based on your feedback.
- F key displays frame-rate .
- various small bug fixes.
