Niche is a on genetics based survival game. Your goal is to travel to new
islands and unlock the necessary genes that will help you to survive in this new
enviroment. You can do challenges like trying to get all genes, or trying to get
to Home Island. The real fun in this game comes from the stories and dramas you
weave for yourself. All in all it is a really relaxing game, that you can play
when you need to put your mind off.

this game is one of the most fun AND most educational game i have ever played
i am an avid niche enjoyer and this game has helped me more than any biology
teacher ever has
niche actually helped me realise how much i loved biology and geneticism
while there isnt really a story, i always have fun making up stories for my
little tribes
i have nothing bad to say about this game genuinely
10/10 - recommend for any teen biology hater (will change your mind)

I really wanted to enjoy this game. The concept is fun, the creatures look nice,
but the RNG absolutely kills it for me. It's like 10% strategy and 90% plain
luck. For me, RNGsus is certainly not on my side. Most of my offspring is male.
Most of the wild creatures are rogue, also male, deformed, only have like 3 days
to live etc. Most islands are either tiny with not enough food or massive, with
hawks, bears, no mates, etc. Out of 6 or so rounds, I had the ability to crack
nuts for a grand total of one. Then I had creatures with the ability to fish,
but couldn't find any fish. Insect eaters, but no insects. When I did find a
termite hill, I didn't have insect eaters anymore. The chance of getting nesting
material is so low, might just as well look for wild nests.
It just ain't very fun when it's a constant struggle with not enough room to
actually try things out. If I could, I would refund it, but I did try for almost
6 hours. *shrug*

it needs more ways to interact with the board, or it becomes too repetitive.
However I really liked it
its relaxing and cute, surprisingly harder than it looks.
PS I got the game very cheap

Niche is a game that focuses on helping a tribe of animals to survive through
the generations. This means that you have to manage how much food is being
eaten, watch out for predators and the climate, where you travel, who you let
join the tribe, and as the title suggests, the breeding of new generations. By
understanding the genetics of this animal species, you will choose the parents
of the new generation to give the species the best fighting chance it might
have.
I don't think I'm ready to claim that this game will make you a master of
genetics, but it might teach you the basics of it, or whatever you didn't learn
in school already at least. But the game is cute and fun, and a little
heartbreaking at times once you've gotten attached to the tribe. If you wished
your management sims contained more cute animals, this might very well be the
game for you.

Niche is a really fun game! I'm a big genetics nerd and this really tickles my
brain. Definitely not as complex as it could be, but honestly if it were too
much more complex it would be less fun.

This game is not fun for me. But I can see it being fun for those genetic nuts
out there who love this sorta stuff. I mostly get bored of the same handful of
actions, and I don't really have a detailed breeding plan in mind. Its
challenging enough, just really not for me

It was a cool concept, but it got very repetitive and boring after a little
while. It can also get increasingly frustrating as well to keep your little
creatures alive and back home. Plus, those dang rouge males keep sleeping with
my precious females without my consent

Niche is a game that I've been seeing around for a very long time, including
when i was younger. It's a lovely game for all ages and it brings so much
nostalgia. hen i opened it up, i wasn't expecting the graphics and design to be
so good considering how old this game is, but it still puts a lot of other games
in shambles next to it. I expected it to be nice, but i didn't expect it to be
better than i remember it. I used to watch Seri and other youtubers play this, I
would rewatch the videos and my sister would be watching over my shoulder, also
loving it. The game play is wonderful, controls are perfect, haven't run into
any issues or bugs, the genetics are super fun to figure out, and not only do i
get to take a trip down memory lane while playing it for myself, even with the
nostalgia removed it's one of the best genetics game ever with a little bit of
strategy involved and a lot of fun made. It's not hard to tell that this game
was made with a lot of love, care, and time, and it's a little bit sad that it's
died down quite a bit. It's a bit difficult to find other people who like the
game because not a lot of people play it anymore. This game deserves another
spike of popularity and way more recognition than it gets. I'm reccomending this
game to all of my friends and i can't wait to discover more as i go. The only
thing about this game that annoys me at all, and its only a little bit mind you,
is that you can't skip the tutorial, but its understandable because you need to
breed a new niche in it. I also love that you can go back to the tutorial mid
game to double check controls, you don't need to make a whole new save file if
you were to stop playing for awhile for whatever reason or if you're still
learning them and don't have it down, or have horrible memory like i do. All in
all, absolutely fantastic game and I'm super happy to have my own copy of it to
be able to play it instead of just watching people play it. :)

Genetics and cute animals. Just minimalistic enough to allow me to make my own
storylines. Fun game!

Its cute, and perfect if you want to chill out with a game with minimal lore.
Its entertaining, and I love keeping tack of how my creatures evolve through the
geographically diverse islands. I do wish creatures lived a little longer, and
that it were easier to keep track of immunity genes, but ultimately these
aspects add to the challenge.
I will say that this game gets repetitive easily if you stick to one island for
longer than 40-ish days, so plan on travelling often.
Overall, its a great game and a win for us bio nerds.
