Bought in a cheap bundle. Game is fun but sadly it is abandonware now.

A solid little game thats fun to wile away the time with when you have a few
moments spare.
And for those giving the game a thumbs down (for 'abandonment' by the developer)
Stewart Hogarth, passed away in September 2015 from congenital heart disease. So
it's kinda difficult for him to 'keep developing the game'....

I bought this game after i saw a video of it online and i love it. Altough i
think its great it still has some downsides i want to list.
- not enough upgrades (5 upgrades per character)
- upgrades not visible (would be cool to see some changes to the characters
after upgrading)
- the resource balance is broken (the first 20 lvls you are always hurting for
something after that you have tons of that stuff and cant even spent it)
- you are somewhat forced to do the same dungeon over and over again because the
quest dungeons never change and you dont want to miss out on the extra XP
because this will be your limiting factor after lvl 20
Everything else seems fine to me for an Early Access Game. I played it for about
4-5 hours and could finish the Game (all upgrades /lvl 32) in 1 more hour. So
you get about 1hr of Gametime per buck which is a realy good deal. Plus you can
play freemode without quest and random generated dungeons to see how far you can
go.

Fun little casual game - you'll get plenty of time worth of enjoyment for the
measly $5 you'll spend.
"Early Access Game" is misleading, as development has actually stopped -
apparently because of the death of one of the lead devs. However, unlike most
early access games on Steam, I've never encountered a bug, and there's plenty of
content for the game to be fun for a few hours.
This is a CASUAL game, not a Hardcore game - mechanics aren't designed to be
incredibly deep, and will likely become annoying if you take it too seriously.
Simply moving the peasants through doorways, will see a few get stuck in the
doorway. Many traps are unavoidable - many instakill - etc. Map designer was
clearly PMS'ing when making the maps. It's ok. They're only peasants - no one
actually cares about peasants. Even though peasants die super quick, you're
often given replacements for the ones who derp into death, so runs can easily
last as long as you want them to.
What do you do - you control a group of peasants - useless little creatures as
they are - to run dungeons filled with traps. While all traps are certainly gay,
I do literally mean the kill people kind.
The gimmick with this game, is that it'll feel like herding cats, as the
peasants will crowd around + follow where you move + hold down the left mouse
button. In fact, holding and releasing the left mouse button will help to clump
them together a little better - useful in helping to control them. Being
peasants, they'll *Happily* suicide themselves into fire, walk into exploding
barrels, infinite arrow traps, etc, if you don't carefully control them to avoid
such things. Your goal is to reach the deepest level of dungeon possible.
You will lose large numbers of worthless peasants along the way, as many of the
traps, majority even, are insta-kill traps - AND many of them are unavoidable.
At the start of each floor, and upon completing one, you may be given "outfits",
so your peasants may visually appear to not be terrible - they still are,
they're still peasants underneath those clothes after all. These outfits,
however, do increase the abilities/survivability of the peasants, helpful in
reaching deeper floors. Your peasants are also able to become slightly less
useless, when they level up from killing enemies you will discover in your
dungeon crawling.
Leveling up your account, done based on score made during dungeon crawling, will
unlock various things - general "outfit" improvement - attack faster, more
health, more damage, etc - and other misc things like starting floor, or group
size.
Another nice thing about this game, is that you're able to activate/de-activate
w/e you don't want. Like, I've turned off all outfits except the mage+knight -
and every potion that isn't the health potion.
It would be nice if that could affect the dungeon as well, because I'd disable
spike + fire traps - because no, none of that ever again, but sadly unable to do
so. Not a big deal, if a peasant is dumb enough, even while being blessed w/ my
guidance, to still walk into those kinds of traps, he obv deserved it. Darwin
sometimes has his way after all.

Do NOT buy this game. It has been abandoned by the developers since 2015.
Otherwise it is a fun game. But not enough content for 5€.
Edit:
Apparently the head developer passed away and that is why the game hasn't been
updated.

The lead Developer passed away so this is why everything grinded to a halt.
It's still a great game for what it is.

I would love to recommend this game. It costs about the same as i spend on
coffee per day. Unfortunately, It also lasts about as long aswell.
I have completed the game ENTIRELY, everything unlocked, every quest completed
multiple times, Its just too damn short.
Okay, so its an alpha/beta game at the moment and the bugs are minimal (i
counted 3 in my entire play through) and they arent game breaking but still,
this game is in desperate need of more quests, characters and items.
I can't honestly recommend the game in its current state, It has potential but
until the devs think of a way to improve the path finding of characters and add
a CONSIDERABLE amount of content, even at such a cheap price it just isnt worth
it.

Super Dungeon Run is a simple one-button mouse dungeon rush with a lot of fun
features, such as:
* Variety of loot to collect.
* Leveling yourself and also your heroes.
* Craft new potions, units, items.
* Main quest and side quests.
* Talent tree.
* Accessible price.
The game seems to be a little easy by now. But, hey, it's an early access game.
Difficult and other things might change.
In general I'd recommend you to buy this game since this concept is awesome and
I'm really looking forward for it's final version.

If you wanna try the game is fine, it's really enjoyable, but it's not finished,
sadly the developer passed away. you can buy it but you need to know the state
of the game and why.

First run: Barrel bomb knocks all my guys into a fire, game over
Second run: Black spots on the ground mean spikes, game over
Third run: I got this! Surprise flame thrower on the wall as I turn the corner,
game over
Fourth run: Two cannons in the room with eight mobs, just about to kill last
mob, both cannons hit, game over.
Fifth thru Thirtieth runs, much the same.
Normally I would have either chucked my computer out the window or contemplated
what Ive done with my life having died so much in a game, but, somehow watching
those little poncho wearing toe heads become warriors, archers and other bad ass
fighters, even while dying in more horrible ways than a Final Destination movie,
is oddly relaxing.
For an early access game this is a very well made game so far. Well done to
everyone who is developing it! Please keep up the great work.

SO, I was informed its game wont be out of early access, becuase the dev passed
away. Its really sad, because the game is actually awesome, so If you into this
I would say buy it. ITs a great game, and actuall complete, but kinda short.
old review:
It was such a great game, shame the devs abandoned it. Its a full game btw, just
really short.
I loved it really much. but unless its got a really big discount, I dont
recommend it

Everyone who would consider buiying that game, PLEASE DON'T. This is not a bad
review. The game is far from bad. It's actually amazing ! The concept is novel
and super fun. Sadly enough though, the developer of this game passed away. It
is detailed in the following link that he was the developer of this game and how
he died :
https://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/253787/Obituary_Game_developer_Stewart_Hogarth.php
Unfortunately despite many attempts, Steam refuses to consider putting up that
information in at least the news feed of the game, and at best in a banner over
the Purchase banner on the page of the game. I think it would give closure to
those who are still hoping any update from that game as it seems the company
didn't have the heart to put someone else on the project or do the announcement
themselves !

This game is in early access and probably will never see the light as a finished
product since the Head-Designer of the game passed away as i just read. Even
though the content is limited this nevertheless is a good game worth its money.
7/10.

Firstly....... and i cannot stress this enough......
IGNORE THOSE REVIEWS ABOUT THE GAMES DEVELOPMENT ENDING PREMATURELY!!!!!
There is a very good reason for this.....
On that point let me get into my opinion of this game as it is.
It had great potential and in and of itself is a pretty good timekiller with a
decently difficult learning curve and the gameplay isnt very forgiving. Graphics
and soundtrack are great as well......
If you've read this far, then the reason this game has stopped development is
because the developer passed away.....
Please see this Steam forum link for more info....

So NO!!! this game wasnt abandoned, and personally i believe if Stewart was
still alive this game would be absolutely Amazing...
Anyway thats my rant over, just fed up of all these reviews saying this game was
abandoned.........

For anyone stumbling across this game within the depths of Steam, do not buy.
This project is dead, the forums are dead, the dev that had been updating the
game is no longer a part of Proper Games, and thus no longer works on the game.
It's unclear if someone else was supposed to take over, but no one ever did and
the game now sits in limbo. Avoid this.

This is a fun and somewhat addictive game, both appealing and engaging. My kids
both love it and probably have put in more hours than I have at this point. That
said, it is fairly short and it was no real trouble to unlock everything. Great
for a fun diversion. But know that the developer died so the game is unlikely to
ever leave early release: what you see is what you get.

I find my units die most often from an unspoken pyromaniac laced love then
anything else, though the archers do love a good arrow to the face.
In all seriousness this game is adorable. It is already well polished and
extremely playable. The premise is simple, you're helping a group of dimwitted
gold obsessed peasants navigate a dungeon to get all the loot. You use your left
mouse and move them around herd style. You can unlock additional character
classes via the town which then have a chance of discovering in a dungeon run
via costumes in chests. The art style is cute, the animation is adorable and
while I sometimes would lose half my party due to drift when I had to take a
sharp corner, I never felt like the game was being unfair or cheating me in any
way.
The game is more than reasonable at its current price and I look forward to
seeing what other additional content the developers put in between now and
official release.
10/10 would accidentally steer my group of cosplaying peasants into a spiked
barrel again.
