Pocahontas is pissed off and Crazy Horse has gone.. well, crazy. Joe's Diner summarised in 3.5 minutes. I honestly didn't need that long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygmj-TieGaw
There is something so alluring about this game, that has brought me countless amounts of times. Cant wait for a Joes Diner 2 Baby!
Fun little horror game, just don't expect to much and pick it up when on sale.
I do not believe that their is enough content in this game to justify the price they are charging for it.
BORING! NOT SCARY AND HAS A TERRIBLE STORY...Do not buy!
Horrible game, with one of the worst controls and especially sound have ever seen in video games. The point of the game is whatever makes sounds you need to turn in off, but the sound is not clear like left or right, if like TV is ON, the sound is everywhere of that TV in the diner, no sound direction. Controls and clunky you non stop bump in to things because i have to hurry to turn things OFF. Very dark game, many things i cant even see. DO NOT RECOMMEND the game !!!
-Oyun kısa (2.30 sa) , mekanı dar ve ilk on vardiya sonrası acayip sıkmaya başlıyor.Türkçe desteği mevcut. -Verdiğiniz paraya değmez bundan bin kat daha iyi free oyunlar mevcut. -Oyunu twitch kanalımda canlı bitirip youtuba koydum aşağıdaki linkten gözatabilirsiniz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiqY6A2xcus
it's actually not to to bad i've read most of the reviews before i bought this game and i have to be honest i think that most of them are true. I dont recommend buying it for 8 bucks at all because overall its pretty boring besides the jumpscares but that would only be when the ghost kills you because of the noise or because you didnt clean up all the drinks and food people left behind. i would usually recommend games because i know there not the easiest thing to make but i dont recommend this game for 8 bucks
Absolutely lazy, boring & repetitive. This "horror game" is an absolute lackluster, as there is no horror at all. Even the "jumpscare" which appears when you're too loud and therefore die, is just an image of a Native American (so not even remotely scary) paired with a louder sound. Depending on how easy to scare you are, this might get you the first time but then you basically know everything that will await you in the game. The Devs didn't even animate the killer appearing or some kind of animation, nothing, because they are lazy af with this game (and the unbearably repetitive gameplay only encourages this impression). Even though it's an indie game from 2015, the shadows and reflections in the game are absolutely obnoxious and buggy, honestly distracting at times. Basically you just run around the diner and interact with objects (either turn off noises or collect leftovers from the tables and trash them). You also have a time limit, as you have to get rid of all the trash before the shift ends and, as said before, must keep the place quiet. That's all there is to it. Later on some "noise traps" on the floor will be introduced. Pretty creative! While for the biggest portion of the game this will be far too easy, making it excruciatingly boring with far too much time left before your shift ends, the last few nights (ca. 26-30) will get kinda hard and stressful, although I only found myself repeating the final night for a few times. However it is barely fair and rather frustrating because the hitboxes for the objects to interact with are ridiculous and - just from my feeling - get soo much worse during this last part of the game. Especially the small mouse traps became almost impossible to pick up, you basically just have to find the right angle or leave it and try to maneuver around or just accept the noise you make. As for the "story", you get a small intro cutscene and that's it. Then it's just shift - loading screen - shift - loading screen ... and so on. Lazy game development par excellence. Yeah, it's pretty awful and not even worth the 2,39€ on sale right now. If I didn't get the bundle for Pineview Drive for 4€, I would probably have refunded it. At least it's easy achievements (getting them just for finishing the game) and just about bearably boring when you talk to friends while playing it.
This game is far from perfect. It is definitely interesting, and has potential to become better, but right now the horror is somewhat lacking. First of all, for the first 12 nights, if you get the hang of the game fast enough, you won't die a single time, or even be in danger of dying. The sense of danger disappears, and the feeling of dread gets replaced by irritation, because of repetitive gameplay. The actual ghost that kills you is just a photoshopped picture that pops up on your screen for a second, and then gets replaced with game over. The death scene seems much too rushed, and could be improved. That being said, I am only on night 12. There is always the possibility that this game really picks up. But still, it should've picked up in pace on around night 6 or so. But all things considered, the game is still enjoyable, and even at times funny. Why the hell are you even working at a diner for a minimum wage, that has absolutely no customers, and that can literally kill you if you don't do your job well enough? Go work at Faz Bears Pizzaria or something ya dare devil! If you want to see the first 10 nights played through, and the death scene, check out my video below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApALKHGikKk&index=1&list=PLKMxTuqznyPNg3itpb9LmgQIrNirA0jYj
This is more of a neutral review because steam won't give us a 'meh' rating. Ignore half of my playtime as I've been tending to my protein skimmer which has added about 3 hours to my total. :P This is a game that's alright for killing time if you're looking for something quick, straightforward, and repetitive. There's very little actual depth to the game or mechanics so I'll cut and dry this nicely for you, my most precious of darlings. You're working for 30 days at a diner in the middle of nowhere which sits upon an old burial ground. Within that burial ground are two Chiefs who hate each other and they have been spending their eternity with one of them tormenting the other by being noisy. That's it! While you tidy the diner(carry food items from the tables/counter to the trash can in the kitchen), one of the ghosts haunts the heck out of the diner by turning on appliances!! Ooooooh scary! But not, since you aren't in any danger of having to face combat situations. You have 5 minutes to quietly throw away trash. If you run out of time, game over. If you make too much noise, you see a picture of a Native American, and then it's game over. Gameplay ramps up at about level 10 and it's mostly rng as to whether you can get all the trash thrown away before the timer runs out. I had almost no trouble avoiding the other ghost. I think I managed to make it all the way to level 27 before 'dying' so this game is pretty easy. It ran really well on my potato machine and is in dire need of a 'continue' button because scrolling all the way down to continue on a later level kinda sucks. I purchased this for about $3 at a 60% off sale. I would say that's about all it's worth. It feels kind of low effort like their sequel to PD. All the levels are the same, just slightly more activity or trash to collect. Sideways thumb, friends.
I don't know who started the trend of having horror games be set in retail or restaurants and have you perform repetitive tasks while waiting for something to happen, but I do hope the trend dies soon.
I have mixed feelings about this game, I believe it can be fun for a certain group of people who rather enjoy a challenge than acual story or gameplay. If that sounds like you then go ahead. I personally quit after about 4 nights because I was so bored out of my skull and not even the singular jumpscare the game has to offer when you loose is good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlVUg3NGHI8&feature=youtu.be Here. Saved you 8 bucks. You're welcome.
There are games that are repetitive. This is a virtual Xerox machine. It's basically a first-person version of Cake Boss or those stupid task games, with what tries to be a horror setting. You go around collecting trash off the diner's tables while running around trying to keep the place quiet by turing off appliances that come on through ghostly interference, so it doesn't bother the mean ghost spirits that were buried in the good ol' Indian cemetery trope the diner Is built on. At the end of level 1, level 2 is exactly the same map and everything, except there's more trash to collect and more noise to avoid. And apparently it does this for 10 BLOODY LEVELS. I'm glad I didn't pay more than $3.99 on Steam's Summer Sale. You shouldn't either.
Joe's Diner
This is a not to be taken seriously supernatural game about being a relief waiter who's task is to look after a route 7 diner which was built on top of a sacred Indian burial site. Working for the next 30 nights as a relief waiter your job is to clear all tables each night. On the first night you will be tasked with clearing 5 tables while you get your footing, by night 30 you will be required to clear the arduous amount of 15 tables. Making the task all that more difficult is the mischievous prankster ghost 'Laughing Bird' who loves to turn on noisy appliances in the hopes of awakening ill-tempered 'Grim Feather' who will apparently scare you with a picture of himself. To avoid waking him you need to quickly identify by sound which appliances 'Laughing Bird' has turned on and quickly run and turn them back off, clearing tables in-between. By night 10 you will be further introduced to noisy landmines. It seems 'Laughing Bird' has learnt how to leave crisp packets, rubber ducks and mouse traps around the floor. You can either quickly click on them to get rid of them, side step them, or just take the risk and run over them. While novel at first, the game quickly becomes tiresome, especially on the last 5 levels as your simply not given enough time to clear all tables and are often at the mercy of needing a good spawn mechanic on your side when you begin the level. Failing to clear tables in time to an invisible countdown clock, means you will have to frustratingly do the whole level again. Had potential, but becomes too repetitive fast. Would much have preferred if they kept changing background location to different parts of the diner/motel establishment every 10 levels. One thing for sure, 'Laughing Bird' is a jerk. I'm coming for you in the afterlife buddy... Mwah ha ha (chuckle chuckle chuckle) Below the last level of the game which just sends you to credits... https://youtu.be/eyMLwh4zMdU If you enjoyed reading this review, feel free to subscribe to my curator page. Because "30 Nights at Joe's" would have made everyone not buy this game. What I hate about this game is how the gameplay is literally picking up trash and turning off random appliances for 30 days. There's honestly nothing more to this game. Oh and ghost chieftains dropping potato chips and duckys on the ground (SO SPOOKY!).
Yet another "masterpiece" from VIS-Games, the same company that did the infamous Pineview Drive. And they are yet again trying to do a horror game. And yet again they failed miserably. Premise: there is a diner that was built on old Indian cemetery, and there are two ghosts that hate each other. One of them doesn't like noise, and the second one is always making up some noise. Your goal is to not let that second ghost prevail and clean up the leftovers until 6 AM, otherwise you die. I don't believe that they had the balls call this a "horror game with innovative gameplay". If Pineview Drive was a somewhat interesting try, this is a blatant rip-off. Your "innovative" gameplay consists of pressing E a hundred of times. It's boring. It's tedious. It's not scary. It's clearly bad. It should've been free. It's a waste of time in a bad sense. Going on "Them - The Summoning", the last game in that sh*tfest of a "Horror Bundle".
Its not for me... however .... There is plenty wrong here, a total lack of any visible creature/ghost when you fail, and just a random drawing of an American Indian, is one of those things. Still, the atmosphere is very good here, I really liked how the wind picked up sand outside and the general feeling of isolation is well done. My issue is that it is a FNAF like and though I enjoy that on occasion, its not one of my preferred styles of game. So, thumbs up for atmosphere and that it didnt crash on me : D
