This is a surprisingly enjoyable game. Surprisingly I say because.. Well let me explain. Chances are if you aren't german you never even heard of Moorhuhn. It was a silly little clone of the original NES duck hunt, just without a dog as far as I remember. The Moorhuhn (meaning moor chicken, a willow grouse) standing in for the duck. It got quite famous in the early 2000s in the german speaking room and for a while became an office favorite, like solitaire. But, it was just a silly little game, it was not something great. Hell it was made to advertize Johnnie Walker Whiskey, which nobody remembers nowadays. Now, there was another silly little game that got famous in the same area in the same way, Sven Bømwøllen. I just recently played a bit of all 7 Sven games that were made later riding on that fame and they all more or less suck (shame really, the platformers they made could be so nice if the handling wasn't so shit, but that's another story) As Moorhuhn and Sven had such a covergent history, I expected the same from this game. I just got it because it was cheap and nostalgia. So it came to my surprise that this is actually a pretty solid, enjoyable game. A Hack'n'slash-RPG-merger with a shallow, but servicable story and some humor thrown in. I can recommend this fully, especially at the price. I hardly remember another game at this price point that was as fun. It can be a bit clunky at times. The spells and the way you cast them for example, one spell type with mouse wheel and middle mouse button, the other with number keys, not the most comfortable. But still. Give it a try, even if you don't like it, it's not like you spent much on it, and if you like it, you'll get about 8 hours out of it.
simply fun game and looks beautiful
Game runs at an unplayable frame rate. And I'm not talking 30fps like a ton of babies like to whine about for whatever reason (seriously, people. The PS3 runs at 30fps and nobody gave a shit about that). I'm talking frame rate so low that it's a slideshow. The last time this happened, it was Bioshock Infinite and it was the first time I ever launched a game on this system. I had to change a bios setting. Not going to bother going there again just for this one game that refuses to run properly. Time to add this to my trash bin. That's my refund pile. Do not get.
The best crazy chicken game IMO
cool game dood hope aother game of it will be done in the year to come leo here
What looks to be a Straight-for-Bargain-Bin Playstation 2 game (with a bland and cliche character concept) proves itself itself to be one of the more competant titles to emulate Nintendos offering on the N64 and GameCube. The game's progression is strictly linear but in wide open areas with out-of-the-way treasures hidden. Combat is standard action-RPG fluff but the bullet-time and whirlwind abilities (later introduced) keep the action from growing stale too quick (NOTE: If over the age of 10 I would HIGHLY suggest starting the game on its hardest setting). Voice acting and poor jokes are no worse than ones you'll find yourself suffering through while little bro has Nickeloden cranked before school. Graphics are gorgeous and on par with the first XBox. Loot isn't as varied as what I would've liked it to have been but the developers saw to putting in the extra elbow grease so that weapons and armor appear on your playable character when equipped. For the $5 I paid; it's perhaps in my top 20 best Steam purchases but you can't go too wrong at it's standard retail of $10 especially if you still hold fond memories of Nintendo's 64 days.
This game is a buggy mess. I couldn't even load the game without using tools like dgvoodoo (dgvoodoo in game released in 2016!) and even with it - it still constantly crashes. It looks like a bad diablo clone anyway.
Started playing this in 2013 for free but couldn't buy the extra chapters because of a glitch, my little self was always sad about that and eventually I forgot about its existence. Now that I own a PC I stumbled upon this and I was so happy to be able to see how this beautiful game plays out. Great graphics, especially for 2013, cute story and interesting characters. Normal Hack&Slash gameplay but the abilities make it interesting. Sometimes buggy but it just adds to the experience. Love it! <3
live it it so fun
An enjoyable game that you don't have to take very seriously. Perfect if you don't want to get stressed of dying too much :) Cons: I did encounter a couple of glitches which were easily resolved by restarting the game. However, and this brings me to the second thing: it would be better if the game had a different saving system - two or three times due to the obligatory restarting I had to lose some progress. But overall, a very good quality/price ratio !
This gmae is insane. I love this game from my childhood now im 18 and still love it sooooo much HIGLY recommend... you get 4 full versions just for 5 dollars. NO SCAM! 5 starts get the game rn
My favorite game
hate it. I want a refund how do i get one?
Loved this game when I was younger. I doubt anyone will even find this review but if you do you should pick it up. Fun story, charming characters, cute style. It's just fun! If you have kids I'd say that this is a great start into the RPG genre. Even if you're an adult and need a break from darker toned games this one's a fun little adventure.
You know, this is oddly a good game. I didn't expect much, but it definitely exceeded my expectations for what it looks like. It's nothing I would call "serious quality", but sometimes it's bad voice acting and plot can be of humor at times. Plus, the gameplay is surprisingly decent and the RPG aspects of it actually run decently. Not too long though. If you're looking for a quick game to play and not take too seriously, this is the game.
Still as bad as i remember it from seven jears ago on the ipad. 10 / 10 i love it
