Great RTS from 2001. Always loved the dynamic battles, animations, atmosphere
and music.
This version is slightly remastered, includes the expansion pack and has working
multiplayer via Steam.
What was so special about this game, beside the theme? Well, all you have at the
start are simple peasants. To create specific units, you need to send the
peasants to buildings for training. Different combinations result in different
units.
Clicking a unit makes it draw the weapon, prepare. You can walk or run, but
running uses stamina, which is also needed for special abilities.
Running through the forest area might scare the birds and create a ping on the
map.
There is a lot of detail and polish here.
Additionally, you can use the editor to make maps and scenarios (separate .exe)
And all of this before WarCraft 3 came out...

The game itself is fun but the sad part is it keeps crashing. Its a nostalgic
game which I grew up with and I really want to play it again. Unfortunately,
when i'm doing the scenario game. It keeps crashing. Hopefully it gets fixed
soon. As for now I wouldn't recommend it, but hopefully they can find a way to
remove the crashing problem.

"Lagged Out" promises an immersive gaming experience but falls short due to
persistent server issues and unmanageable lag. Despite its potential, the game's
failure to address these fundamental flaws leaves players feeling frustrated and
disappointed. Constant crashes and disconnects disrupt the flow of gameplay,
making it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. While the concept is
intriguing, the execution leaves much to be desired. Overall, "Lagged Out" is a
missed opportunity that fails to deliver on its promise of virtual adventure.
