Total upgrade from the original. You can play during night time. Updated stealth
mechanic. More weapons and locations. Continuation of the story. New item
gathering quests. Has more replayability.

Let me start off by saying that chapter 1 was a great game and I highly
recommend that one. In short though, I highly recommend skipping chapter 2.
I waited a while to get this because of all the gamebreaking bugs I saw being
reported. Saw it on sale so decided to finally try it. It was impossible to get
it working with my Oculus quest 3 to start, and I had to resort to custom
bindings to get it working. Even then, I couldn't sprint, and my game had
crashed. Experience wasn't better with the link or air link. I decided to refund
it here and get it from the oculus store as it was made for that first, and is
probably more polished.
What I experienced was even worse than the steam VR version.
The game's 2 initial loading logos were glitching into each other and after 3
mins of loading, it just crashed to my home screen. Tried it again. Same thing.
The third attempt it finally loaded and I got into the game. So far, so good.
smooth frames etc. The very first sequence begins and the guy talking to me as
well as the first zombie were not fully rendering. their faces looked like
rotten potato. One eye visible the other just a lump, lips paper thin and pursed
idk what I was looking at. I get through that sequence and into the next little
cutscene area. It is a small room with just me and 2 other NPCs. One of them had
the rotten potato face too. I waited to see if it would ever load, and it never
did.
I ended up refunding that version as well because the game just lacks polish at
every turn it seems. I felt at that point, it wasn't worth playing long enough
to lose the ability to refund because from others reviews, there aren't many new
maps and the story isn't the best either. It's a very unfortunate sequel to one
of my favorite VR titles.

It's not a bad game, not by a long shot, but it's just not as good as the
original. It's great in concept, but the bugs, crashes and the HORRIBLE holsters
where you can grab your journal when you reach like all the way over your
shoulder reaching for your backpack, and more all put together just makes it
less than ideal. I'd recommend the first game 10/10 times, but if you've already
played through the first and want more, it's not an entirely bad choice to pick
it up.

everything is good apart from climbing being the most frustrating thing
imaginable and random crashes that make you lose tons of progress

Worse then the original in every way besides a few. the new guns are awesome,
the chainsaw is amazing, but the game runs worse then the original, the gameplay
is exactly like the original, which isn't bad, but there is literally nothing
new besides weapons. I wish there was a neutral option, I don't exactly hate
this game, but it isn't good.

Game is just as good as the first. Also, its MUCH better on PCVR (I'm playing on
the Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop).

Saints and sinners 1 was a masterpiece, the only reason i bought a VR in the
first place was to play that game specifically. I saw the reviews for this game
and thought "Eh i'll give it a go" and while the gameplay, setting and story are
just as good as the first instalment, the frustrating issues HEAVILY outweigh
the positives.
Specs:
Quest 2
GTX 3080
Steam VR / Virtual Desktop
Pros:
Gameplay - fluent like the first 10/10
Story - pretty good so far (Only got 1 1/2 hours in due to issues below)
Sounds - just as good as the first instalment
All the pluses of the first game
Cons:
Controls - Horrendous, i've looked for 4 hours trying to get a control scheme,
via the Devs approved control scheme, YouTube videos, forums etc, either you
sacrifice the sprint (Which doubles the amount of time to get anywhere and makes
the game quite boring when you're walking like you're elderly), or you don't
move at all - which as of this review with the "Official" bindings selected, the
left stick doesn't even move the player. (BTW if you've come to the reviews of
the game to figure out the control scheme i'll help you out, it doesn't work, no
one has a video, post or information where they can actually get the sprint to
work like in the first game and you unfortunately just have to deal with it)
Controls Pt 2 - This may seem small, however in the first game to pick up a gun
from your holster, pick up items, weapons etc you had to hold the button to pick
it up, immersing you a bit more since you felt like you were "Holding" the item.
The only working control schemes i found and edited, it's a toggle button, so
when aiming a gun at enemies you just press the button once and bam, you're
continuously holding the gun, let go of the trigger, nothing happens, forget
you're still holding the gun? fumble to put it away. Want to put the gun away
after aiming and shooting, hover over your holster and press the button. It's a
simple fix but in my opinion adds so much to the game actually feeling the
weight of the gun, weapon, item and having to actually "Hold" it otherwise it's
dropped - more realistic.
Booting the game - As soon as you boot the game, you get a message along the
lines of "Re calibrate controls" which shows a HTC Vive control scheme and if
you don't have a Vive, you have to restart the game and hope it skips the "Re
calibrate" - sometimes multiple times.
Graphical - I noticed some minor graphical issues throughout my short playtime
which i would stress is not a massive issue but considering the first game
didn't have any (That i saw) i thought i'd mention it anyway.
AI - The zombies perform just the same as the first game, no complaints there.
However, my first encounter with the "Human" AI, they spotted me through a wall
and started shouting at me, I thought "Okay maybe i made noise or something",
decided to sneak to where they were and they were both looking in a random
location, so i shot one in the head with a shotgun, looked at the second enemy
and they had glitched walking about aiming a gun (With the knife floating where
the gun is as well) and i could walk up to her, get in her way and she just kept
shouting "I'll get you tourist" without ever attacking me.
I ABSOLUTELY loved the Saints and Sinners 1, managed to 100% it and never had
any issues with it, if the Devs read this PLEASE fix these issues, i can get
past the graphics every now and again and hell, even the AI glitching out but
the fact that it took me over half of my "Playtime" just to calibrate the
controls so i can TRY to play the game is ridiculous. If you are thinking about
getting this game, at the moment i wouldn't just based on these issues within
the first hour of gameplay. When / IF they fix these issues i will HAPPILY
update my review to be positive and more than recommend this game as i'm sure
many others will. There will probably be a 3rd instalment of Saints and Sinners
at some point i'm sure and with the current state of this game i will definitely
not be buying it but if there is a labour of love shown and issues are fixed i
am more than happy to take that gamble.

this game was actually so much of a disappointment. it is a buggy, unfinished
mess that somehow made it through QA testing. the story is just glorified fetch
quests with SO MUCH missed potential! it could have been so much more if given
more time but feels like a glorified DLC with a £20 price tag. the "trade
network" system sucked, the new characters are mostly boring as hell, your
choices from the first game DO NOT MATTER AT ALL (the save import doesn't work
either lol), the AI sucks even worse than the first game and enemies literally
respawn in front of you. I really wanted to enjoy this as much as the first
game; one of my favourite vr games ever (with like 90+ hours) whereas i only put
28 into this one, with probably a third of that being afk time as i left the
game on by accident lmao. there were some cool parts, like assaulting the tower,
the chainsaw and the expended resting place, but it isn't enough...
this video explains a lot of the flaws better and more in depth than i could, so
if you're interested watch that:

Actually got so bad, I stopped playing it. Even if it's technically the first
game with more features, it somehow feels less.
There is way less free roam compared to the first one. As in, you are only
allowed to go one single direction in some places when previously you could pick
several directions to reach your destination. They also removed beggars which to
me felt needless and pointless.
And the missions started out just fine at first, but got so focking annoying
after a while (when the night missions + delivery/trading missions begun). I get
more walkers show up at night and the flares are supposed to distract them, but
the flares never work and you have to kill 20 zombies per meter or kill 15
zombies per minute because they just keep respawning more every second.
Eventually it got so unbearably annoying that it just wasn't fun playing
anymore. Real shame since I loved the first one so much. I do get there are
supposed to be more zombies in the sequel since you get more powerful
weapons/tools such as the chainsaw and grenade launcher. But at the same time, I
do want to be able to move a few steps without being attacked/interrupted.

This is the first time i write a review for a game. Let me start by saying that
i played the first game and i found that it was amazing. Bought chapter 2 hoping
that it would keep up to my expectations, despite reading multiple reviews that
said that this game crashed frequently and had lot of bugs.
Despite that i bought the game, and was immediately dissapointed. The first
couple of minutes the game ran without issues, then my game crashed twice,
making me loose all the progress i had multiple times.
If you are looking for a good VR zombie game, just stick with the first one
(Saints and sinners) and dont even look at this game. For a price of almost 40
USD its not worth it. Maybe in a nearby future if they fix the bugs and crashes
this game will be worth your money, but right now i cannot recommend this game
to anyone.

I like this game, i really do, even with how close it's gotten me to having
severe panic attacks.
It is actually unplayable without Air Link or Quest Link, you cannot use the
Steam app on the quest store to play this game because doing so makes you use
Vive controls :(
Devs please add an update that fixes this, this game is so fun and scary, but i
don't want to be held back by the thought of not being able to play it because i
need Quest Link.

combat is just as good as the first game if not better with the new weapons
night missions are awesome with way more walkers, typically running me
completely dry on ammo and weapons and using whatever is around to fight my way
back to the skiff
the few new levels are neat with more buildings and corners to loot and fight
walkers in but occasionally look worse and barren compared to the old levels
which you can still access and are still the main areas you'll be looting in
the story is uninteresting, the characters are uninteresting, theres no side
quests besides a boring fetch this fetch that lineup of "exile orders" that
usually give you nothing worth the time
derik literally has next to no part in the game at all, you are introduced to
him on a fetch quest for the pawn king and then basically the next time you
actually see him is a rule of 3 boss fight where you blow him up 3 times. that
is it
the pawn shop serves 0 purpose, there is no trading or buying or selling or
whatever from the guy, you only go to him for quests and then leave
my playthrough was generally ok but i would strongly recommend NOT starting with
an imported save, i seriously never had to do any looting and was only traveling
to areas for missions and to fight walkers, the game took me around 7 hours to
complete including all the times the game forces you to wait in-game days for a
task to change (you can sleep through them too)
the final mission was incredibly odd in my playthrough, you are meant to sneak
into the tower compound to make it to the tower's main parking garage to talk to
sable. i did not find a single good way to do that without alerting a majority
of the tower troops in the level so i was forced to blast through all of them.
there are suppressors you can use but i did not find a single one in my
playthrough nor did i know they existed at all until i looked up some other
playthroughs of the final mission. once i made it to the parking garage and did
the following task to search a warehouse and return to sable with intel there is
supposed to be this meetup at the hospital where you fight the rest of the tower
troops in a big gunfight(?). this did not happen at all for me, i had to return
to the resting place to continue. actually ascending the tower was a pretty ok
experience for me although i had a few restarts to the grenaders throwing
sometimes 4 to 5 grenades at me all at once and not being able to get out of the
way or throw them all back before they started exploding. the dialog with mama
at the top was stretched so incredibly long that i actually got tired of
standing doing nothing for 10 minutes and pulled up a chair to finish it. (you
have to listen to all of it and take the key if you want the good ending)
overall the game is certainly not worth the $40 price tag and would be better
fit as a dlc or update to the first game.

Easily my favorite single player title for virtual reality. The first was a
masterpiece and this game is quite literately just the second chapter. The
mechanics are awesome. The game play is beautiful and smooth. Only way to
perfect this tilte would be to add support for BHaptics.

It's really fucking good. Lots of killing to do, become a juggernaut, or become
John Wick. The brand new grenade launcher and chainsaw are awesome and also now
I can beat the shit out of people with my hands! Overall pretty damn good. -some

Bit of a downgrade in some areas compared to the original, the weapon selection
late game is fantastic and I couldn't get enough of the chainsaw.

The first game was amazing. This is dog water. The frame rate is absolutely
unbearable and drops if anything happens on the screen. Secondly, I cannot get
past handing the priest the blueprints (first 10 minutes of the game) because my
backpack glitches out and is completely empty and can't even cycle through
items, this is a known issue btw and has been since the games launch and it is
still not fixed. Not worth the money right now... Maybe later when it is fixed
and $10,00 - got on sale for $20.00 - refunding right now. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
IN ITS CURRENT STATE

I've been trying to get this eviction notice achievement for 20 hours. love that
you can't skip griks speech, that I have to listen to a furry, a lesbian, and a
tomboy who all have the exact same wanna-be-a-guy face. On top of that I just
LOVE that I spent 6 hours of my time trying to clear out via corolla, running
out of weapons and ammo, using every single weapon of the map, bottles, spoons,
lighters, boards, gas cans, weapons out of bags, EVERYTHING, I spent 2 hours
killing zombie with only a FRYING PAN BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY WEAPON THAT DOESN'T
BREAK. and these two faced 'leaders' and their country accents, THEY WERE KICKED
OUT A LUXURY TOWER NOT THE BARN HOUSE. love starting my 6th playthrough because
of a priest holding out on me, and these "heya tourist can ya do 'his thing for
me?" people

Loved the first one, just the right balance between survival, story and the
plain fun of looting. The 2nd is, again, just the right amount of what we had in
the first one, with nice additions to it. Wait 'til you see what the Tourist
made with the resting place since last game. Also, I don't scare easily, the
dead can break through a door just as I'm about to open it that I don't flinch,
but that time we have to go through town during the night, that... that was
something. Died the first time, horribly, and it took me courage to face it
again. Very effective, all the fun is back. Totally recommend this title, and I
hope it will be a trilogy. Not enough of games like this on VR, this is a gem.

With many updates the game is not fixed and fun to play story is not that
important or interesting but the game play makes up for it with having more
weapons and new area to explore from the first game.
