GLITCHED is coming this year!
Thanks for being patient everyone. We've been spending a lot of our development improving the game after feedback from here, our Discord, and Steam Next Fest to make sure that GLITCHED can really be the best version of the game when it releases.
That being said, we have a bit more development time to go but the game will release this year!
Here's a bunch of features, tweaks, and improvements we've implemented since our last update here.
There's much more, but that should give you an idea on what we've been working on. To stay update to date on development please consider following us! I've been posting on the socials much more lately and if you need a bit of GLITCHED to keep you going, you can find it there!

That being said, we have a bit more development time to go but the game will release this year!
Here's a bunch of features, tweaks, and improvements we've implemented since our last update here.
- All sprites and maps in the game have been improved. Sprite work is now more detailed, environments are more alive, and the maps are larger and much more enjoyable to explore.
- You can now jump and dash while exploring the world. This makes exploration so much more exciting and maps won't feel nearly as flat as they did before.
- Combat has been improved, there are now (optional) action elements, and difficulty options have been added!
- The Essence System has been majorly improved, and you will see the impact of your choices and Essence much more as you play. When you gain Essence, you'll see a small animation. When a choice is available to you because of your Essence, that choice will have a special border to show that. Gus will also lean into his Essence more, and you'll notice a more distinct personality depending on his Essence.
- Dialogue has been cleaned up and cutscenes won't drag on for so long anymore. This is still a text heavy game, but things should be a bit more balanced now and no cutscene will run too long.
- UI has been improved across the board. UI now smoothly appears on screen, you'll have font options (with some accessibility options!), and so many new features have been added to make navigating the various menus better.
- Better options menus. There are more ways to customize your experience, and plenty more accessibility features to make sure everyone can enjoy the game equally.
- More immersive NPCs. They will move around a bit more and have more custom animations.
- A bit more horror. Just a little bit.
- The bebos are more round. The bebos are more ROUND.
