Hi, Enigma Prison fans.

I would like to update you guys on the development of the game.

I had to take a break from the development to take care of health problems, but since the beginning of 2018, I have returned gradually to developing Enigma Prison. Since three months ago, I have returned to working full time on it, dedicated to finishing the game.

Since I started developing the game there was a giant technological leap and I knew that one of the things I needed to do was keep up with those changes.

Enigma Prison is currently running on the latest stable release of Unreal Engine 4, this has allowed me to make great graphical improvements and optimizations.

The lighting changed from a precalculated system to a fully dynamic; this brought much more quality, much less memory usage and the download size has drastically reduced.

I explored more modern techniques of modeling and texturing and redid all models and textures of the game.

I'm working on various gameplay adjustments that were kind of out of place, making the game a much more enjoyable experience.

Since I’m not a traditional programmer, I called the version of the game that I released years ago a “beta”, when in fact it was more of a pre-alpha version very far from the final version of the game. Because this is my first game I still do not have many methodologies so I'm exposed to mistakes like this.

I'm focused on finalizing the game and for this, I decided that some things I should give up and remove from the game, even if temporarily, to make the development viable; such as maintaining an updated demo. That sounds like a simple detail, but keeping a demo is like developing two games at the same time, and that was weighing heavily on my workflow.
Now I have a problem that is a very outdated demo that I shouldn’t keep the way it is for the launch of the game and I can’t just remove it... Well, but that's something I'll think later since I have lots of work to do.

I won't be promising a release date this time, but I'll do my best and aim for a 2019 release.

I'll leave you with some screenshots and thanks for your patience!
