Game: The Slaughter: Act One
Hello ladies and gents!
The highly divisive mini-game Shove Ha'Penny has had a big update!
The physics of the game have been tweaked to be far more realistic. Where previously pennies would collide and continue sliding together, now energy is transferred from one penny to another, meaning that when one penny hits another the first penny stops almost immediately, while the second shoots off. It really changes the feel of the game, making it a lot more enjoyable and instinctive as the physics are true to life.
The game can now only be quit on your turn when playing a non-player opponent. When I initially designed the game it didn't have a quit button, which meant you had to play until the end of each game. As some of you may know, your opponent is set to give you an item if you lose 3 times to him to ensure players never get completely stuck. However since adding a quit button, many players are quitting when it becomes apparent that they'll lose. This doesn't count as a loss and means they could end up playing indefinitely, which isn't very fun! My hope is that hiding the quit button when it's the opponents turn will help reduce this.
A few bug fixes here and there too.
I'll be releasing the update for Mac and Linux tomorrow, toodles.
