Steam Patch Notes for 1.1

This is a big one! We’ve got tons of new features for you all!

New Features:

  • Black Hole Mode: A special new arcade mode that allows you to customize your own dive! Choose what biomes and bosses spawn. Pick your favorite music track and adjust the generation for events, enemies and more! Want to do a boss rush? You can! Want to gently dive in the water biome with barely any enemies? You can! Want to push all sliders to 11 and face your hardest dive yet? You most definitely can!
  • Camera Slider: You can now adjust how close or far away the camera is in-game. Zoom in if you want to see all the details or zoom out to see as much on the screen as possible!
  • Button Mapping: That’s right, we heard you loud and clear! You can now map the game controls to your keyboard/mouse or gamepad button of preference.

Game Adjustments:

  • Goodbye Launcher! The game now opens up immediately for ease of use and access. All the settings it offered are now in-game.
  • Loki Mission 20’s description has been slightly altered to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Default Steam Controller layout has been adjusted.
  • Suit Visuals have been adjusted to be actual diving suits.
  • Radio Music has been adjusted to thematically fit.

Bug Fixes:

  • Linux Issue: You can now successfully buy items in the shop if you play the game at smaller, odd resolutions.
  • Input is no longer read on any planet’s dive comic at the beginning of the first mission.
  • The Spider Queen no longer gets stuck if you attack her during her dash attack.
  • Audio settings now update successfully at the start of the game.
  • Hovering over the in-game timer toggle no longer activates it automatically.
  • You can no longer toggle through locked planets with the trigger buttons on a gamepad.
  • Xbox One controller now works successfully on Windows as well as on Mac.*

* Make sure to update to the newest driver for your Xbox One Controller, located in your Device Manager on Windows.

To reiterate, with the previous updates we added the following features amongst various adjustments and bug fixes:
Speed Running Mode, GUI Scaler, Music & Sound Sliders, Dialogue & Tutorial Toggles, Black Hole Mode, Camera Slider & Button Mapping.

WOW! Not bad right? You can read the full previous patch notes here, here and here. We hope you’re enjoying these updates and we’ll make sure to keep them coming!

Happy diving everyone!
