Game: Over 9000 Zombies!
The plague continues to spread across the globe. Over 9000 Zombies! experiences a host of new changes and additions. We request the help of all remaining survivors to continue the struggle against the unrelenting horde.
Significant changes have been made to the netcode. These changes are made in hopes of improving lag issues experienced by some players. With significant changes in code might come some new bugs so we invite everyone to leave feedback on the games discussion forum.
Changelog:
- Massive improvements and changes in the netcode should increase the quality and stability of multiplayer games.
- 2 new weapons: The Gauss SMG and the Conflagerator! Unlock these weapons by slaying over 9000 zombies in a single game.
- 2 new turrets: The Auto-repair turret and the Multi-turret. The Auto-repair turret repairs nearby walls and turrets to help maintain your base when surviving for long periods of time. The Multi-turret automatically selects the best weapon among the Shotgun, the railgun, and the grenade launcher, depending on the range to the nearest zombie.
- New map - Lapland - As survivors moved to northern regions of the globe to escape, the plague has followed. Brand new tileset and new sprites, also available to use in the Map Editor for Steam Workshop.
- Improved sound effects for nearly all weapons and many effects. Sound effects should now feel more powerful and pack more punch and have a wider dynamic range.
- Weapon unlock requirements have been lowered. Easier access to more powerful weapons has been made to each tier of weapons.
- Zombie Historical Figures now spawn at a slightly greater rate, have a bit lower HP, and upon death, explode in a massive cloud of gore and blood as well as dropping a large cache of resources.
- Tons of improved particle effects including, increase blood and gore, smoke trails, weapon tracer trails, shrapnel / spark effects, and more.
- Improved / changed graphics for certain sprites.
- Projectiles have been made to be more visible.
- Now 3 varieties of fixed map walls. Also accessible in the Map Editor for construction.
- Added support for a new resolution, 1360x768 . As always feel free to request a resolution in the game’s discussion forum.
- Adjusted the properties for certain weapons.
- Fixed a bug where light sources and shadows in local-coop were being rendered incorrectly
- Fixed a bug where explosions were only being partially generated when the center originated near walls.
- Several bugs fixed related to multiplayer / netcode.
