Mark of the Ninja - Bug fixes from Remastered Edition

Hey All,

During the course of the development of the Remastered Edition we fixed up several bugs that we came across. We brought these fixes over to the classic edition of the game as well for those who want to play the classic version.

For those who want to use the unpatched version of classic Mark of the Ninja, we have another branch that you can use. Simply right click on Mark of the Ninja in your game library and choose "properties" - select the "beta" tab and choose the "original" branch from the dropdown menu.


  • Bug-fix "AI responds with looking animation if user hides in dumpster where AI body is already hidden."
  • Bug-fix "Player can break collision on walls by jumping+kicking at the same time"
  • Bug-fix "User character does not get killed upon landing on thorns in Challenge Room of the level 'An Ancestral Home'"
  • Bug-fix "Show checkpoints on the map for seal progression objectives after they have been achieved"
  • Bug-fix "Unlocked techniques persist on Restart Checkpoint"
  • Bug-fix "Numerous fixes for the text getting cut off because of lengthy translations"
  • Bug-fix "Enemies are no longer able to shoot the player through the wall in level 'The Trail of Shadow'"
  • Bug-fix "Smoke bombs fail to block laser tripwires when the player uses them during 'Rooftop' in level 'A Change of Course'."
  • Bug-fix "In Settings, if you Revert to Defaults then set your display resolution to what it was when you entered Settings, the display resolution will stay as the default."
  • Bug-fix "Multiple controllers effecting displacement on the right stick y-axis causes double displacement of camera offset."
  • Bug-fix "Clouds stop moving if you restart from a checkpoint."
  • Bug-fix "Fixed several minor spelling mistakes in displayed text."
  • Bug-fix "Tidied up label positioning around controller on Controls screen."
