New Doctor Kvorak Obliteration Game Demo for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift

After the excitement of showing Doctor Kvorak’s Obliteration Game at EGX Rezzed and Norwich Gaming Festival expo’s in April, we’ve been busy implementing suggestions and feedback from players. We’ve also been optimising the game for the HTC Vive. The characters have had a high-poly makeover, so they look hugely better in close-up when viewing them in the Vive. Implementing Roomscale VR really changes the way you deign a game – suddenly details (both visual and in gameplay) become incredibly important, and we really hope that players will like the improvements we have made.

We have also taken the time to make our VR Editor as awesome as it can be. You can now build puzzles, move, rotate, duplicate and create, and thus build entire levels within the HTC Vive. We have also integrated the Obliteration Game with the Steam VR keyboard, which finishes off the last parts of the VR Editor by allowing you to enter strings and other handy little things like file names when you want to save. The next stage of the VR editor will be integration into Steamworks, and that’s what we’ll be working on next.
