The game is well made although I don't understand why it is as popular as it is.
Once you figure out how things actually work, which isn't easy by the way, the
game plays out the same way pretty much every time.

I've played about 25 hours of this game. I doubt it's a game I'll keep playing
long-term, but I've had a good time. It took me TOO LONG to fully understand
that this isn't the sort of game where you're doing resource management and
expansion in a general sense. It's all about treating everything as commodities
and making favorable trades and manipulating the market in your favor. That's
it. And it's fun!
People have likened it to an RTS and technically it's real-time and involves
strategy, but it has little in common with historical examples of the genre.
It's about optimization much more than expansion. It's about responding to
market conditions. You are never producing anything like "units", only money.
There's a little bit of competition over resources, but that resource
competition is very static. There's no way of taking over an opponent's resource
tiles, you just have to beat them to it by getting in as early as possible.
Learn these lessons and you'll be well on your way to buying out the
competition.

Perfect game for a quick break between games of Starcraft 2.

Sigh. Trying to connect to multiplayer servers.
I haven't been able to play this game for 3 years. Is it just me?
Game was alright when it worked... Do regret buying the "full version", since I
can't even connect to my friend to 1v1.

I loved this game back in 2017 and have discovered it again in 2023. Always
delivers!

One of the finest games I've ever played.

Generally a well made game. I expected it to be like a resource gathering 4x but
it's far more about trading commodities and economics so .... it's not really
for me. but might be for others.

Initially I gave this game a good review, however the deeper I got into the
campaign on easy difficulty the more difficult it became to win - which
naturally seems like a good thing. Until somehow you get dealt with a skynet AI
that counters every move you make within milliseconds in the game despite
playing on the slowest speed and pausing every few seconds.
I lost 10 times on a mission, restarting and trying a different technique each
and every time. Constant attacks, AI upgrading to level 4-5 hq's while I'm still
stuck at level 3. It's ridiculous.
I tried to counter the market by getting lucky enough to colonize all the
resource zones of iron. My goal was to make it as expensive as I could for these
AI players to upgrade their HQ's. So I tried to purchase all of the iron and
steel that I could while maintaining full control - or so I thought of these
zones.
Somehow, the price of iron and steel did not skyrocket like I anticipated. Next
I suddenly found one iron resource tile directly connected to my HQ had been
claimed by an AI - this is something I cannot do to the other AI players but
somehow the developers thought it would be cool to let them do that to me.
So I went huh, it was only a low yielding iron resource tile, surely that
wouldn't be a big deal right? I check to see what that other AI player was
planning. He has 4 steel production plants connected to his HQ. Wtf.
This game is incredibly punishing and unbalanced. I love the concept and things
you can do in this, the campaign is also a lot of fun but it's complete BS.
Multiplayer is pretty much dead so don't get your hopes up there.
