Game Description
Florence is a heartfelt experience that lasts around 30 minutes. It's short, but deeply meaningful.
At 25, Florence Yeoh feels a little stuck. Her life is an endless routine of work, sleep, and spending too much time on social media. Then one day, she meets a cello player named Krish who changes everything about how she sees the world.
Experience every beat of Florence and Krish’s relationship through a series of bespoke gameplay vignettes – from flirting to fighting, from helping each other grow to growing apart. Drawing inspiration from ‘slice of life’ graphic novels and webcomics, Florence is intimate, raw and personal.
Original soundtrack included.

I played this game with my significant other who looked exactly like the main
character. The outfits, the aesthetic, the dreams. I looked like Krish. I have
never been left more heartbroken after playing a game in my life. I turned
around to see my s/o in tears after we finished. She was devastated that
Florence did not end up with Krish. She continued to cry. I’m a fan of romances
such as 500 days of Summer and La La Land, where sometimes life can get in the
way of love. Perhaps love is something where people enter your life, change, and
grow for the better. My only wish is that I wish they had an ending for Krish.
This was a story about Florence, and about how others can rekindle a sweetness
for life itself that can continue long after they are gone. The art in this game
is brilliant. The comic book-style graphics and interfaces made for a unique
storytelling environment – the puzzle piece mechanic for the conversation was
amazing. I started to visualize conversations with my s/o as puzzle pieces and
it actually made conversations smoother and more constructive.

This is the significant other here: the one that looked like Florence. Yeah,
this game made me sob really hard. The gameplay itself is very cute, intuitive,
and enjoyable. I thought the colors, artwork, and transitions were very
beautiful—and the story wrecked me. It’s bittersweet. It literally breaks your
heart. But it squeezed my heart more because my significant other and I
literally look like these characters. We have similar personalities: ambitious
towards goals, artistic, emotional, etc. I really hope it's not a similar
ending, but bittersweet might be in the future. Props to the creator, and I hope
she’s healed from her relationship. I hope “Krish” has healed as well. I
resonate with the story a bit too much, and as much as I want to recommend it to
people, I also don’t want to. It might tug at your heart a bit more than you
want. Every time I think about the game, I cry a little.

It's one of the most unispired stories I've ever seen. The girl doesn't like her
job, meets a boy, fell in love, they broke up, the girl decides to do art, she
succeeds, quits her job.
THE END
My 8 years old brother could write something more creative.

"Florence" impresses with its incredible music and charming art style, making it
a must-try. The story, though simple, beautifully portrays the ups and downs of
a relationship. Some (including myself) may desire a happier ending, but the
bittersweet conclusion adds authenticity and emotional depth to the narrative,
leaving a lasting impact. ❣

It took me about 40 mins to complete the story, and 15 more to get all
achievements.
The game is cute, it has great art and music, but the story is pretty generic,
and I kinda hate the message of the game.
Spoilers:
The story goes about 2 people who fall in love, both have their own hobbies, the
guy plays music and the girl used to paint but not anymore; both motivate and
support each other to follow their goals.
My issue is that the couple just gives up the second they have an argument,
after the honeymoon phase is over, they just give up and get over it, they don't
think a 6+ month relationship is worth saving after that, the game never gave
the feeling that they were a toxic relationship or that they needed to get out
of it because it wasn't good for them, they legit love and support each other,
and for barely any reason they just give up in their relationship.

Dammit... what an excruciatingly beautiful game. Florence, a story of
relationships and finding your true self, is proof that video games are a
powerful medium of storytelling. Florence takes what makes video games so
special, interactivity, to pull the strings of the players heart, sharing joy,
sadness, and love. Now excuse me, I have some math homework to get done.

Fantastic music paired together with a really lovely story. Its a short
experience that can be finished in one sitting (It took me just under a hour to
100% the game) If you are looking for a short experience then I can highly
recommend this.

The ultimate "Okay, I get it!!! For the love of god, can we move on already?"
game.
Very short, very simple, very gimmicky.
Both the narrative and the combination of visuals with the use of controls can
be a novelty for... some? I found it to be very uninspired and generic.
