Game Description

SANRI is a first-person psychological horror game where you play a schizophrenic character whose wife disappeared during camp. Face the delusions, solve the mystery and try to find her despite your constantly distorted perception of time-space.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The game does not guide you with too many hints, it focuses on exploring. Take into account that the game can be a difficult game in this respect.

STORYLINE

What would you do if you woke up after a nice night camping with your partner and couldn't see her next to you? Grab your flashlight and dive deep into the forest to find it. Your schizophrenic delusions will never leave you. Despite all this, will you be able to find him?

GAMEPLAY
You will have some enemies that feed on your fears. Run away or face it.

The way to deal with delusions is with antipsychotic drugs. Keep them by your side.

Adapt up with the ever-changing time and place. Explore spooky environments.

Sanri is a great atmospheric indie horror game with some minor flaws The music and atmosphere of the game are done actually very well and sets the tone for the rest of the game. My biggest issue is the price of the game. I don't think this game is worth 15 dollars. I could see this game being more around the 5 to 8 dollars mark. The game did crash on me at one point but luckily it's saving feature did help me get right back to it. All in all, I think the game has some great ideas and jumpscares, but the asking price is a little steep for such a short experience. Can't wait to see more from the developer!

3/10 Could not finish it. The asking price was $20 Canadian for this game and I wouldn't have played this game for free. Complete waste of money. I tried the game for an hour and a half. got about 3/4 through the game and gave up. Watched the rest on a youtube walkthrough. - The game is super frustrating because there is always zero direction on what to do next. You can wander aimlessly for 20 minutes around 2 rooms or a small forest area because you missed finding a small key, or did not walk on a certain small area of the floor for the next scene to arrive. Sometimes you even think "I have been there so I don't need to walk there again" but the game makes you walk around in circles 2-3 times until the next scene comes. Waste of time and no sense of progress. LOTS of walking around aimlessly. Many other reviewers feel the same way, I know I am not alone here. - The main monster villain is super goofy and dumb looking. His vocal sound effects are bad and during his chase scenes you don't know where to run I died 5x during one scene trying to run in every direction. - Horrible screen tearing with dated graphics and no Vsync graphics options, actually no graphics options at all There wasn't anything enjoyable or original about this game at all. Just dumb, unoriginal and frustrating.

SANRI : REVIEW (After the first hour and a bit) AFTER FINISHING THE GAME: - Game needs a little work with the "Auto Saves, Bugs and glitches". - The ending, needs another save point added in after the "Chase" scene. Otherwise you are having to restart it. - Jumpscares were good and horror was fun - Also needs some small pointers just to help out new players to the genre - I would recommend playing this but be ready for bugs and glitches. Points to work on : - I would like to see a settings button at least to turn off the head bob, makes me quite nauseous after a while - Few bugs in the game with saves and the camera ( Not too big of a deal) - Maybe with the start bit, few pointers however I was just blind and couldn't see the next part of where to go Overall: Game has a lot of promise and so far my heart rate as jumped to highs of 127, so I would say it's a pretty good game so far! The Game starts out with little no explanation of what you should be doing.......It is definitely an explore and figure out type of game as there is literally no hint at all of what your next step should be, to some that may be a bother but for the most part it was not to grueling and I still very much enjoyed the game up until the point I decided to take a break, I will pick it up again to play and very soon at that....I am intrigued as to what is happening. Good graphic & story plot. This game made me can imagine how strugle is schizophrenic. What i think is better if available in this game : 1. Graphic setting (Some places in this game is too dark, please add brightness setting) 2. Hint / clues (i have stuck in the forest just walking around didn't know what to do next) About the real character in this game CMIIW :) 1. Monster who chase after the main character in the forest --> Doctor / psychiatrist. 2. Zombie in mad house --> Hospital security man. 3. No headed body --> Another patient in hospital who was injured by main character, thats why he moved to special isolation room. For someone who's not good at puzzle games, I really enjoyed playing Sanri the Horror was amazing I definitely think its a hidden Gem more people should know about. And live streamed for my channel and the Devs were also kind enough to help me find my way to the end

Enjoyable experience with some minor frustrations here and there. Sadly, bugs can definitely be noticed at certain spots but never took away/ ruined the game itself. Genuine scares, entertaining, and significant brain usage are definitely the 3 things this game had in store for me. Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who is into the horror genre. BUT--I would advise waiting for a sale due to the amount of playtime versus the amount of $$ required. I hope to see more from this developer in the future!

This game was great to play through, very interesting story, I wish I had more to play to unravel the story even more! Some things to take in consideration would be to make some instructions more clear for certain areas, I don't want to call out certain parts in case of spoilers, but other then making things a little more obvious for others, I would say it was a great experience overall!

For an indie game that just came out and is still working on minor bugs, it is a great game. If you are a horror/jumpscare type and also like puzzle like problem solving situations then im sure youll like this. Although the game doesnt give much guidance as to buttons or even objectives, it was still a solid play for me once I got the hang of things. Definitely a game that plays with your head throughout the entirety. I will have a playthrough, posted in parts, on my youtube by the end of today. Lightworks, thank you for the game. I cant wait to see what else is in store.,

What is this even?? That's the exact reaction I had to playing this game for the time I wasted on it. You literally do nothing but walk around constantly in circles in small enclosed areas of the forest and wait for timed events to happen before anything progresses. This is not a game at all... in fact it felt more like a very poorly told YouTube Horror Short. Do not waste your money or your time on this game. Looked pretty decent... played like mud through a drainpipe.

For the first few minutes of the game, I struggled with that I was meant to do, and settings. There are no controls/settings available and no accessibility options. Eventually, by the music, I happily realized the devs had to be Turkish! As a fellow Turk, I was hyped. Unfortunately, as the game progressed, I was deeply disappointed by how the story played out. SPOILERS * * * * * None of the story made sense by the end of it. There was no resolution, explanation of events.... The horror/monster is just a basic chase code, which has nothing to do with the story. Who are they? Is it a figment of our imagination? If so, how and why? There were also disappointing representations of religion, which were bizarre and seemed ill informed. This game has the outline of something with potential. I wish deeper thought had gone into the story. Looking forward to future works.
