I would have recommended the game if it had been longer for the asking price.
For 1.99, gamplay is about 5 minutes or less (I played about 40 minutes to find
and report some bugs in the game). This could grow into something very unique.
I'd actually recommend building on the game and seeing if you could get it
bundled into a Dread X collection for larger reach to your audience. I will not
ask for a refund of the game as I believe this game could have potential in the
future.

So I was interested in this game because I had played stories untold and
absolutely loved that game. This game somewhat emulates it but does it very
poorly. There are multiple quality of life features that are missing from this
game along with the coding being broken.
I'm also frustrated as this game almost completely rips off Stories untold and
basically uses the first chapter as the basis for the story. I find that very
frustrating and with that the dev had some more creativity with their work and I
wish that they had put in some more effort to update the game and make it into a
more playable state.
I sadly cannot recommend this game and I really wish it was better because text
adventure games can be so much fun.
Things that are missing that should have been added.
"Help" functionality
"quit game" functionality
correct orientation of the player when entering a room.
"skip text" functionality
"examine object" functionality
All of this would have been great for going a long way to build your world and
have the player feel better about playing this game.

I cannot recommend this in its current state. You cannot get a list of usable
commands by typing "help" or "list commands". Anyone who actually played these
old games knows to do this to see what commands the game accepts. Without that,
I could not progress beyond the room with the podium.
Also, there is no way to exit the Dear Nostalgia game. People may think that
that is cute, but it is crap.
In its current state, your estimated game play time is 10 minutes, if you go
back to the beginning to make sure you haven't missed anything obvious. I hope
the devs will include the list of commands, so that we know the symantics of the
commands they have offered us inside of that game-in-a-game.
